About Basic Science & Humanities

The Department of Communicative English is continuing in the best traditions of academic life. English being the foremost language in the National and International arenas, the department transacts teaching and learning in a variety of interactive ways that enable the students to acquire English language skills needed in a highly competitive and globalised world. The department has a well equipped language laboratory to provide the students adequate practice in language activities, group discussion, public speaking and such other related skills. The Department is research oriented and resilient.

Communicative English Society

As a major thrust, on 15th November 2008 the Department inagurated a "Communicative English Language Society" to provide the students new knowledge on English Liracy, Speaking,Reading and Writing skills.

CHEMISTRY

The department has a well-equipped laboratory having all the required equipment and apparatus. The main emphasis is to build up the fundamentals of the engineering students through general lectures, laboratory work, maps and charts. The whole aim of the highly qualified and experienced staff is to build up student's skills by updating the teaching learning process, teaching through seminars, group discussion and student participation. In addition to this, the Department specialises in Environmental issues relevant to the twenty first century.

PHYSICS

Physics is the base of all engineering sciences. The sole objective of the dept. is to build up the fundamentals of the students through classroom lectures and laboratory work. The department has a well-equipped laboratory and is provided with adequate teaching aids like charts and models. The department significantly contributes to the growth and development of the Institution through workshops and seminars. The department also arranges extramural lectures to promote inter-disciplinary studies.

MATHEMATICS

The department of Mathematics consists of well qualified faculty members. The teachers of the department are dynamic and capable of solving complex problems in all areas of mathematics. The department has taken the responsibility of teaching "Optimisation technique in Engg." & "Discrete Mathematics structure". The teachers of the dept. also engage themselves in advanced research work. The department seeks to build up the foundation of technical education by imparting mathematics teaching of high order.
